If you had already published your podcast on Spotify through Mumbler, the tool will detect it and allow you to claim the podcast.

Guide to migrating your podcast from Mumbler to another platform
If your podcast is public
If your podcast is open and you don’t offer paid content, the fastest and simplest option is to migrate it to Spotify for Creators, since it provides an automatic migration tool.
The whole process only takes a few clicks.
In Mumbler, go to “Products” in the main menu, open the podcast or audio series, and click on “Edit” in the top right corner of the page.
There, you will see both the public and private RSS feeds of your podcast.
In this case, we only need the “Public RSS”.

Spotify will send you a code by email that you’ll need to paste into the tool to confirm that you have control over your podcast.
Once you’ve completed this step, your podcast will be hosted on Spotify for Creators.

If you have a premium podcast
In this case, you have two options:
1 – Move your premium podcast to Spotify
You can also migrate your premium podcast from Mumbler to Spotify for Creators. However, keep in mind the following:
- To monetize on Spotify, you must meet certain requirements.
- With this option, you will lose your paying subscribers because you are only migrating the feed, not customer data or payment details.
If you choose this option, instead of migrating the public feed, you must migrate the private feed.

And if you meet Spotify’s monetization requirements, you will need to contact each subscriber and ask them to re-subscribe, this time on the new platform.
2 – Migrate your premium podcast to your own website
This process may be a bit more complex but is definitely more convenient.
It involves three steps:
- Migrate the feed to your website
- Migrate paid subscriptions to your Stripe account
- Import paying subscribers into your website
First, you need to have a WordPress website with the PowerPress plugin installed.
Let’s go step by step:
1 – Import the feed
Go to the PowerPress plugin and select “Import Podcast.”

Choose the option “Anywhere else” and enter your URL.
Here you will enter the Mumbler feed URL.
If your podcast is Premium, first create it under “Podcast Channels” and assign it in “Advanced options.”

2 – Import subscriptions
Now it’s time to migrate the paying subscribers you have in Mumbler into your own Stripe account.
To do this, you’ll use the secure data copy service (PAN copy) between accounts provided by Stripe.
In this case, Mumbler (the sending account) can copy customers and payment methods (cards, linked methods, etc.) into your account (the receiving account) automatically and securely.
To request this, contact us through the support chat.
The only thing you’ll need to do yourself is migrate the subscriptions.
To do this, you must have a Stripe account, go to Subscriptions Migrations, and follow the step-by-step assistant to import subscriptions into your account:

When starting the migration process, select that your current payment processor is Stripe, and you’ll be taken to the next screen.

Here, choose “Basic Subscriptions.”
Clicking on “Download template” will give you a CSV file with the required fields to import your current subscriptions.
Once you request this information, we’ll send you the CSV with your subscriptions within 48 business hours.
3 – Import subscribers into your website
Once you receive the CSV and have already created the podcast on your website, you need to link both sets of information so that your paying users can access the premium feed.
To do this, you’ll use the EasyRestrict plugin, which includes a very complete paid-subscriber importer.
First, create a product for your premium podcast, defining its name, description, price, frequency, etc:

You can create as many products as premium podcasts you have.
Once the product is created, go to PowerPress and assign it to the corresponding feed.

If you have more than one premium podcast (product), repeat this process as many times as needed.
At this point, you’ve imported your premium podcast feed and linked it to a product, so the last step is importing your paying subscribers.

Using the EasyRestrict importer, you can do this quite easily.
Once done, all users will be created automatically with their corresponding subscriptions, last payment details, active status, renewal dates, and everything needed to give your paying subscribers access.
